The Lincoln National Forest Offices will be closed on Monday, in observance of Labor Day. 

Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, September 3rd.

An increase in forest visitors is anticipated this holiday weekend.

There are no fire restrictions in place on the Lincoln National Forest.

Sun Metro's regular (fixed route) and LIFT (paratransit) service will run on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Monday in observation of the Labor Day holiday.

The customer service line for fixed route will also work on a Sunday/Holiday schedule and be available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The administrative offices, the Eastside Transit Terminal ticket office (1165 Sunmount) and the Bert Williams Downtown Santa Fe Transfer Center ticket office (601 Santa Fe) will be closed.

All Sun Metro service and facilities will resume regular hours of operation on Tuesday, Sept. 3rd.

All public library branches will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day.

The Labor Day holiday will impact some solid waste operations for the City of El Paso Environmental Services Department. 

Labor Day will not impact trash and recyclable collections since there are no scheduled collections on Mondays.

Residents will have garbage and recycling collection on their scheduled collection day. 

The Greater El Paso Landfill will be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday. 

The landfill will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, September 3rd.

The landfill, at 2300 Darrington Road, is normally open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 

The Citizen Collection Stations will be closed on Monday, September 2nd, as part of normal operations.

The drop-off sites are regularly open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and are located at: 121 Atlantic, 4200 Delta, 2492 Harrison, 4501 Hondo Pass and 1034 Pendale.

City Hall and most other City of Las Cruces offices will be closed Monday, September 2, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. 

Police and fire services will not be affected.

· All museums
· All senior programs

Solid waste and recycling services will operate on a normal schedule and the Foothills Landfill will have regular Monday hours.
