The El Paso Youth Council is currently seeking new members for the 2013-14 school year.

Students from grades 9 -12 with a “C” average or better are eligible to apply.

Visit www.elpasolibrary.org to download an application packet or call 543-5495 for more information.

Membership is free.

The deadline for applications is Friday, September 20th.

The El Paso Youth Council is an organization of high school students that meet on a regular basis to learn how City government works.

Members get to speak directly with members of City government such as the Mayor, Council members and the City Manager.

The goal of the program is to help young people understand the inner workings of their City government so that they can become El Paso’s future leaders.

Being a member of EPYC will allow students to:

• Learn leadership skills

• Network with teens from around the city

• Gain experience for college and life

• Become a voice for El Paso’s teens

• Influence decisions that impact youth
