If you're heading to the park for your 4th of July picnic, you are being asked to help keep the parks clean.

Charcoal should be taken back home or thrown away properly because it can damage grass or kill the trees. Do not leave trash littered around the parks. You can not have confetti or break pinatas, and do not hang anything from the trees.

Also, no alcholoc beverages are allowed in city parks. City officials say follow the simple rule: "Leave it better than you found it."
