El Paso — Substance abuse and addition can destroy an entire family just as much as the person with the problem.
El Paso County wants to fund a counseling program meant to help those families build better relationships with each other to lower a person's risk of turning to drugs or alcohol.
Commissioners court is expected to approve Monday an almost $76,000 grant for the Family Drug Court.
That money will go to the 'Strengthening Families Program,' which provides help to both parents and children coping with substance abuse, physical abuse and neglect.
