After the holidays are over, the City of El Paso Environmental Services Department encourages residents to recycle their cut Christmas trees. 

Residents can drop off their trees at any of the City's Citizen Collection Stations starting Dec. 26. The service is free. 

Trees take to the drop-off sites will be chipped into mulch and given away to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. The Christmas tree recycle program gives residents an environmentally-friendly alternative to get rid of cut trees and keep them out of the landfill. Trees to be recycled must be free of all decorations including; ornaments, tinsel and lights.

The drop-off hours and locations are as follows:
8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tuesday through Saturday

121 Atlantic
1034 Pendale
2492 Harrison
4501 Hondo Pass (entrance off of Stahala)
