City Development Divisions to move out of City Hall
EL PASO — Two more divisions within the city are moving out of City Hall.
The City Development Department's Planning Division and Building Permits and Inspections Division's last day at City Hall is Wednesday.
They'll be temporarily relocating to the Tillman Center on 222 Campbell St. and will reopen on Mon. Feb. 11.
This is all in the effort to get City Hall demolished in the coming months to make way for the Triple-A Baseball stadium.
But even after the move, you'll still have to go through City Hall's "One-Stop Shop" first.
Those services include:
· Long Range
· Land Development
· Historic Preservation
Building Permits and Inspections Division:
· Assist customers acquire the necessary permits for construction
· Ensure compliance with various building and zoning codes
· Oversee plan reviews, including sign regulations, architectural, plumbing and mechanical, health, fire, electrical, landscaping, historical and engineering development
The One-Stop-Shop will then close up at City Hall March 26, and relocate to its new permanent location at 811 Texas in time to open March 31.
