City Departments Now On 4/10 Work Week

El Paso - City departments have changed their operational hours.

It is part of a 4/10 work week that is saving the city an estimated $213,000 over five months.

There will no change in service at the El Paso Airport, bridges, Sun Metro, El Paso Public Library, El Paso Zoo, Convention Center, Performing Arts Centers, Police Department or Environmental Services.

All departments within City Hall will be affected including Mayor and City Council offices, City Manager's Office, Community Development, Economic Development, Financial Services, Human Resources, Clerk's Office, Tax Office, and Print Shop.

Didn't work in the federal system will not work here. Sick leave abuse, staff shortages, closing of services due to staff shortages, the extra two hours worked will be down time to no benefit. Bad Idea
