EL PASO - An ordinance to increase the fees for animal owners who don't get their pets fixed, has been delayed.
City Council today voted to delete the item and bring it back in two weeks.
It would have increase yearly registration fees from $10 to $32 dollars if passed.
Animal Services said members wanted the ordinance to be tougher.
The city is trying to cut down on the animal overpopulation problem.
