City Council heard details Thursday in a special meeting discussing requirements for apartments accomodating people with disabilities.

Currently, seven percent of El Paso's population has trouble getting around. The city requires three percent of units in a housing complex be available for these kinds of tenants.

After a study, UTEP researchers said the demand has stayed steady and do not believe council should raise the requirements.

Council will vote on this item in a future meeting.
