Hospice El Paso's 6th annual Art from the Heart fundraiser showed off its well-known southwestern flare.
Artists were asked to paint dozens of chiles, some had collegiate and professional sports themes, while many others saw kalaveras.

Our cameras even spotted one with a chihuahua bursting out.

Each are either sold through a silent or live auction to help raise funds for the non-profit hospice center.

"That money helps us to take care of people who cannot afford hospice because we don't turn down anybody for hospice care," said executive director Jim Paul.

Hospice El Paso's gala dinner is September 5th.

They're hoping to raise more than $100,000 between both efforts.
