El Paso, TX (KTSM) — They come from all walks of life, but have two things in common. They love El Paso and they love baseball.
The groundbreaking of the El Paso ballpark was made to feel like a real baseball game with peanuts, popcorn, and baseball themed music.
Many parents took the day off of work so they could share the first ballpark experience with their kids.
"It's unbelievable," said Elizabeth Leal. "It's incredible. It's just wonderful, because finally El Paso is doing something for the potential that we have".
"This is a big event for El Paso," said parent Richard Orozco. "This is a good thing for El Paso".
"This is something historical that they'll be able to look back on and they'll be a part of from the start," said parent Eddie Munoz.
