Pedestrians struck by vehicle in west El Paso

EL PASO, TX — UPDATE:
Police responded to a collision involving two pedestrians on Thursday morning in the intersection of Belvidere and N. Mesa St.
The investigation revealed that two adult females were crossing N. Mesa near Belvidere, not in a crosswalk when a driver of a vehicle was turning south onto N. Mesa. The vehicle struck both women, one woman sustained minor injuries. The other female pedestrian sustained a contusion and lacerations and was transported to Las Palmas for treatment.
None of the injuries are life threatening, police continue to investigate the incident.
El Police were called to the scene of an accident involving a pedestrian and the driver of the truck in West El Paso Thursday morning. It happened around 8:20 at the intersection of Mesa and Belvidere when the child was walking across the street.
Police say the pedestrian was rushed to the hospital but have not released any details about the extent of the injuries.
