El Paso Chihuahuas fan favorite Cody Decker made his ESPN debut Wednesday night appearing as a special guest on "Olbermann" hosted by Keith Olbermann.

Sporting one of his now infamous ascot and pocket square combos, the El Paso utility player flashed his quick wit for a national audience that earned him wide appeal here in the Borderland.

Olbermann, a long-time ESPN personality, has followed the Chihuahuas closely in the recent weeks after the team revealed their special "Chihuahua face" jerseys that were auctioned off to benefit the Humane Society of El Paso. Olbermann went as far as to not only buy one and wear it live on his show, but said he would also match the total amount collected in the jersey auction.

However, it is not Decker's first appearance in sports broadcasting. In May, Decker was invited to be a special guest sports anchor on NewsChannel 9 Weekend and did play-by-play of his own highlights.
