EL PASO – Scores of El Pasoans turned out for the 7th annual Lincoln Park Celebration at Lincoln Park, today.

Families and children of all ages gathered in Central El Paso for Chicano music and art.

"It's a celebration to celebrate El Paso's own version of Chicano Park...It's an opportunity for folks that don't normally get a chance to come to this part of town to check out the beautiful art that's out here,” said Jaime Abeytia, who attended the event.

During the event, the “Twin Serpents” mural was unveiled. It was painted by Chicano artist, Gabriel Gaytan.

This event is not officially a part of Chicano Heritage Month. However, organizers hope to change that in time for next year's celebration.
