EL PASO - Family, friends, food lovers, and people from all over the city spend their afternook under the Spaghetti Bowl on Sunday, celebrating the Chicano community at the annual Lincoln Park Day.

There was food provided by Cafe Mayapan, live music, and a dance by Danza Azteca.

The event's main attraction was a display of mural by Chicano artist Gabriel Gaytan called "A New Light Of Hope."

"The idea of the mural is to celebrate the indigenous people from Mexico and the scientific know how of the cosmos" said artist Gabriel Gaytan

Lincoln Park Day is held in El Paso's Lincoln Park and strongly resembles San Diego's Chicano Park.
