Charges dropped in deadly crash
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KTSM) — The case against a woman involved in a deadly crash on Highway 70 in Las Cruces last Halloween looks like its over before it began.
District Attorney Mark D'Antonio said his office didn't move forward with charges against 22-year-old Shauna Halladay because there wasn't enough evidence.
Halladay was believed to be driving carelessly when she went over the median, crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed into a mother and son killing them both.
D'Antonio said the lack of evidence would have made it difficult to prove fault.
