Central El Paso House Fire

POSTED: Thursday, December 11, 2008 - 9:07am

UPDATED: Wednesday, February 17, 2010 - 3:22pm

A massive fire at a Central El Paso home is being investigated at this hour.

Flames broke out at around 1 o'clock this morning at a home near the corner of Rim Road and Brown. It took fourteen fire units about half an hour to fully contain the blaze. That is about double the personnel it takes to fight an ordinary house fire. The fire started in the attic and caused extensive damage to the home. No one was hurt, but the Red Cross was called out to help the home's residents. Fire investigators are trying to determine if the fire was an accident or arson.
