EL PASO — New census numbers released suggest El Paso lags behind the the rest of the country in several key categories.

According to the american community survey in 2011, El Paso's median household income is just over 40 thousand dollars a year. Almost ten grand below the national average.

Perhaps even more alarming, one in every fourth El Pasoan doesnt have health insurance.
