Officers at the El Paso port of entry, seized more than 518 pounds of marijuana with an approximate value of $414,144.

The largest of the seizures was made at the Ysleta international crossing on Saturday when a 1997 Chevrolet Astro van arrived at the port from Mexico.

CBP drug sniffing dog "Lass" searched the vehicle and alerted them to the gas tank where officers discovered seven metal boxes.

The bundles of marijuana weight 121.95 pounds.

Officers arrested the driver, 57-year-old Sergio Morales Vazquez of Arrey, New Mexico.

He was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents to face federal charges.  He remains in custody at the El Paso County jail and is being held without bond.

In addition to the drug seizures, CBP officers this weekend recorded 139 immigration violations including intended immigrants, impostors and false claims to U.S. citizenship.
