Cashier Charged With Credit Card, Debit Card Abuse

EL PASO - An 18-year old Circle K cashier was arrested after police say he overcharged a 70-year old woman.

Police say Alfonso Silva added a $5 "cash back" transaction without the woman knowing. She later found the charge on her receipt, and police say she may not have been the only one. Detectives say the store manager received similar complaints against Silva. He is charged with credit/debit card abuse of an elderly person. That charge is a felony.

We're told there have been 1052 reports of credit card, debit card abuse. Police say 19 of those were targeted at the elderly.
