A new study has found car insurance premiums can double with a teenage driver.
According to a national survey by www.insurancequotes.com, married couples pay an average 84 percent more for car insurance when they add a teen driver to their policy.
The results vary by age, gender and state.
Male teens cause higher increases than females and the increase is highest for 16-year-olds.
