(CNN) — Iraq-Car-Bomb--URGENT-1A car bomb exploded Sunday at a police checkpoint in the eastern Iraqi city of Kut, killing at least six people, authorities said. An additional 10 were wounded. The predominantly Shiite city is about 70 miles (110 kilometers) south of Baghdad.
