Car and Train Crash in East El Paso

EL PASO - A car and train crashed this morning at Zaragosa and Roseway in East El Paso.

An 80-year-old man is in serious condition although his injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

Fire Chief John Concha says the victim was trying to beat the train at a crossing when the wreck happened.

Union Pacific says the train was going 36 miles per hour at the time of the crash.

There are forward-facing cameras in most locomotives. Let's see if the media can get a copy to show us the 80 year old man "trying to beat the train".
