Newschannel Nine has learned about the murder of a local teen who was killed in Juarez earlier this week.

We're told Juan Ramon Gonzalez Rivera was visiting his mother on Tuesday when the two were attacked by a group of men.

They were reportedly beaten, stabbed and even attacked with a sledgehammer.

The Associated Press reports the 17 year-old was from Canutillo.
