Burglars hit two convenience stores in Lower Valley Wednesday morning

El Paso Police were investigating two separate burglaries in the Lower Valley that happened about four miles apart Wednesday morning.
Police could not confirm, but the burglars reportedly stole cash from the ATMs.
Police said burglars hit the 7-Eleven on Padres and Mecca at about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday. The criminals broke the door and got into the business. Police surrounded the entrance of the store with police tape as they collected evidence. Police said two suspects led officers on a foot chase into the neighborhood behind the store and they used K-9 units to catch two suspects.
Police said crooks also broke into another 7-Eleven on Knights and Broadway at about 1:05 a.m. Wednesday. They also broke the door to get into the business.
Police said they believe more suspects are on the loose.
They were investigating if these burglaries are connected.
