El Paso and Las Cruces have already reached their high temperatures for Friday, around midnight. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for El Paso and Las Cruces areas until 11:00 p.m. Friday evening.

Driving could become challenging due to some strong cross winds and visibility could be reduced due to some areas of blowing dust.

Temperatures will fall rapidly behind the front and wind chills in the area could dip into the 20s after sunset in the higher elevations Friday night. Look for rain, sleet, freezing rain and ice in some Borderland locations. Expect windy conditions and cold wind chills through Saturday. The winter type weather should stick around through Monday.
