SOUTH EL PASO — Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is celebrating.

The University Breast Care Center along with breast cancer survivors celebrated Wednesday being the only nationally accredited breast care program in El Paso.

The center met the criteria needed and has undergone a rigorous application process and on-site survey to assure standards are being met.

The UBCC is accredited through the National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancers, a consortium of well-known leaders/organizations dedicated to quality of care and monitoring outcomes of breast disease.
