EPPD identifies 2-year-old who died Sunday in Far East El Paso

Police have confirmed that 2-year-old Hailey Marie Harper is the toddler who died after being found unresponsive in a car in Far East El Paso Sunday afternoon.

Emergency responders were initially dispatched to a home in the 13000 block of Enrique Gomez Lane, off Rich Beem Blvd., just before 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon. When EMS arrived on the scene, they discovered Harper unresponsive and transported her to Sierra Providence East with CPR in progress.

The toddler was pronounced dead upon arrival at Sierra Providence East.

El Paso Police Crimes Against Persons Unit was dispatched to the home where it remained taped off for several hours Sunday afternoon.

At this time, EPPD has not said if her parents will be facing any charges associated with the toddler's death.
