Fayette County, TX - Police got a real surprise after a high speed chase.

Officers pursued a pickup truck on Interstate 10 at speeds topping 100 miles per hour with its headlights off for 14 miles.

When the truck finally stopped, police could not believe who stepped out...a 12 year old boy.

He had taken his father's truck without permission.

When asked why, he tearfully said, "Because my dad won't let me live with my mom."

The driver has been ordered to stay in juvenile detection during the investigation.
