Breakdown of Stimulus Dollars in El Paso/Las Cruces Area

More than $519 million in stimulus money is being put to work in El Paso County and close to $129 million in Dona Ana County. That's according to MSNBC's stimulus tracker.

In El Paso County, some of the big projects include $268 million for work at Fort Bliss. The projects are expected to generate more than 1,600 jobs. $55 million is allotted for the Loop 375 interchange project, another $55 million will go towards drainage projects, and $15 million dollars will go towards Glory Road and westside transit projects.
There are a total of 66 projects in El Paso county.
