There are some really exciting news to report on the blind El Paso student who traveled to China for a stem cell procedure. Lawrence Brown, 16, says his vision is improving slightly and he was even able to see a candy wrapper on the floor.

The El Paso high student has been blind since birth and he's in China for a series of procedures that he hopes will give him sight for the first time in his life. He's almost half-way done with his treatment and is due back in El Paso at the end of the month.

We have a link set up on our website to follow his progress. It's on the right-hand side of our home page.
