EL PASO - A highly contagious bird disease has yet to spread to El Paso.

About a month ago we told you about an outbreak of Newcastle Disease in Juarez. Newcastle is a deadly bird virus that could be devastating to U.S. poultry.

As of today there have been no confirmed cases in El Paso County, despite the virus being highly contagious .

We're told the virus can't be transferred to people.
