Binational Health Conference Underway

The biggest manufacturers of seasonal flu vaccines in the U.S. are delaying or reducing the number of doses partly because of the crunch to produce millions of doses of the swine flu vaccine.

One distributor has sent out 50 million doses of seasonal flu vaccine order by health care providers but the company sent notices to customers indicating the rest may not arrive until November.

Meanwhile, in El Paso, the department of public health and the Mexican Consulate General are preparing to kick off bi-national health week.
