NBC — A Connecticut group says Vice President Biden has offered to talk to families of the Sandy Hook School shootings. 

The Sandy Hook Promise Group is working to help the families who lost loved ones in last month's massacre. The group said it could put the families in direct touch with Biden's office.  Vice President Biden is leading the Obama administration's gun violence task force. The White House has set a late January deadline to present proposals.
