The sun is being blamed for the death of an elderly bicyclist from Deming. New Mexico State police say 71- year old Armando Pereiro was hit from behind by a truck driven by 72-year old William White.
White told police the rising sun was shining in his eyes and he didn't see Pereiro. He was cited for careless driving.
Pereiro died at the scene.
