Benny's Pawn Shop distributes Christmas dinners to needy families
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — A local business made the holidays merrier for families in need.
On Saturday morning, Benny's Pawn Shop gave out 100 Christmas dinner care packages to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of El Paso families.
Each family went home with a turkey and all the necessary fixings for a delicious dinner, including boxed mashed potatoes and stuffing, a pumpkin pie, green beans, and gravy.
"We appreciate the people that are coming to pick this up, and the people of El Paso. And hopefully more businesses can do this in other ways also," said Saul Frank, the owner of Benny's.
Saul Frank and his son, Gabe, started the turkey giveaway 3 years ago to help El Paso families in need just in time for the holidays.
