One Borderland restaurant has been serving up classics for half a century in El Paso.
Bella Napoli is known for their Italian cuisine and friendly service.

Bing Browning is no ordinary piano man. He's been a fixture in the dining room of Bella Napoli for 20 years.

"We might as well just trademark him," said owner Luis Cordova.

"I always try to play what the everybody's favorite song is," said Bing Browning.

When the second generation of Cordova's took over the restaurant 8 years ago, Bing's the one who helped show them the ropes.

"All we had to do was sit and talk to him and he would let us know who is who and what table belongs to who and let me know as soon as they come in she likes to be serenaded by a certain song, " said Luis.

Now the Cordova brothers have the hang of it.
Jose spends his days in the kitchen.

"I've always just been drawn to the kitchen, so when I came to here to works with pops it was natural" Jose said.

Jose's father, mother and uncle opened the restaurant on Valentine's day 1963, 50 years ago.
For years, Bella Napoli was the last restaurant between El Paso and Las Cruces.
It's safe to say they knew the secrets to keeping their customers happy.

"It's just not being afraid to work and work hard at it and not giving up," said Jose.

"You gotta keep the same recipes, the same quality of food, you have to make sure you're taking care of your guests properly," said Luis.

But there's more to it than that. It's something that's inherent to this family.

"Ever since we were very little that's all we knew," Luis said.

Some families have a special ability to work with each other every day , get along and be productive, even after five decades.

"It's amazing." Luis said. "I mean for us it's not only something to celebrate on but it's also a great honor to keep this tradition going".

For Bella Napoli and the Cordovas, it's been fifty years of comfort Italian food, familiar faces and hospitality, with no end in sight.
