A swarm of bees created quite a buzz in central El Paso Thursday morning. Firefirghters and EMT's rushed to the intersection of Hadlock Street and Dunne Avenue after receiving reports that several people had been stung. Firefighters found thousands of bees outside the back of a house. Three people and three dogs were stung multiple times, but fortunately no one was hospitalized. However, firefighters say calling them should be a last resort.

"If you have an issue with bees and they haven't stung anybody, make sure to get a professional. We don't want to come out here because when we come out to take care of the situation we're going to kill the bees. We exterminate them. Get a professional. They'll take the queen and they'll take the bees with them," said Ramon Valencia with the El Paso Fire Department.

All three of the dogs was taken to an animal hospital to be checked out by a vet. Firefighters say if you're attacked, cover your face, run into a nearby building or vehicle, and don't swat the bees.
