Ballpark traffic study to be released
El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — Thousands of people are expected to swarm downtown El Paso in four months, as the city's new Triple A baseball team takes the field for the first time.
Construction on the stadium is right on schedule with opening day slated for April 11th, and we may soon have an idea of what traffic will look like on game nights.
On Wednesday the city will release the results of a traffic study on the area surrounding the stadium. It will identify which roads drivers will use to get downtown, and where they'll likely park.
After community input the city will then begin forming a plan on how to deal with game day traffic. The new stadium will hold upwards of 8,000 people.
