A baby at Holloman Air force base has died from a rare bacterial disease…

The New Mexico Health Department has confirmed the 7 month-old boy died on November 11th from Enterobacter Sakazaki, a rare disease with only 120 known cases in the world.

The child was found unresponsive in his home on base. Another New Mexico baby came down with the disease in Lee County. Health officials believe the illness may be linked to baby formula or environmental factors and extensive testing has been performed on base. Those results are expected in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the base is advising military personnel to consult their doctors if there are concerns about their child’s health.
