AUSTIN-- The body of a woman who had been missing since late May was found in an exhaust vent duct work of a building on Monday.

Austin police identified the body as Jamie Minor, 26. APD said the body seems to have been in the duct work for several weeks. No foul play is suspected.

APD said it appears Minor entered the duct on her own, though they have yet to find a motive.

Evidence at the scene suggests Minor climbed into the duct on the third floor of the attached parking lot at the Norwood Tower. She was trapped between the first and second floors of the building.

"We have no reason to believe there was any foul play in the death of Jamie Minor," said Juloe O'Brien, APD Commander. "This appears to be an incredibly tragic accidental death."

Minor's supervisor is said to have sent her home early the night of the 23rd because she had been acting "strangely."

In surveillance video, Minor was seen trying to get into a side alley door of the Norwood Tower. Another camera also caught her going into a pedestrian gate.

plusitsred .... did huffmanj get back to you?

What a horrific death she must have had. My heart breaks for her and for her family. It is odd that she wasn't even reported missing for so long. Why didn't anybody care about this girl? Why was she desperate to enter that building? I don't care if she had drug issue's or mental issue's. No one should have to die that way! It's sad that no one close to her even noticed she was missing. This is a very sad story. I hope she has peace now...

I knew her and hung out with her a few times. I guarantee she was messed up on pills the night her boss sent her home. She was a cool chick but she definetly had issues. Sad ending to her life. RIP!!

i have questions for you huffmanj. contact me at

i wanna know more too, so keep me posted

This is so odd. Wanting to know more about this, I checked in the Austin newspaper and a television news station in Austin and neither of them have anything posted about this. Not a word.
