AUSTIN-- The body of a woman who had been missing since late May was found in an exhaust vent duct work of a building on Monday.
Austin police identified the body as Jamie Minor, 26. APD said the body seems to have been in the duct work for several weeks. No foul play is suspected.
APD said it appears Minor entered the duct on her own, though they have yet to find a motive.
Evidence at the scene suggests Minor climbed into the duct on the third floor of the attached parking lot at the Norwood Tower. She was trapped between the first and second floors of the building.
"We have no reason to believe there was any foul play in the death of Jamie Minor," said Juloe O'Brien, APD Commander. "This appears to be an incredibly tragic accidental death."
Minor's supervisor is said to have sent her home early the night of the 23rd because she had been acting "strangely."
In surveillance video, Minor was seen trying to get into a side alley door of the Norwood Tower. Another camera also caught her going into a pedestrian gate.
