Auditors to review campuses and staff at EPISD next week
El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Independent School District has hired auditors who will go onto their campuses to evaluate how our schools are running.
Those checks will be happening next week.
The staff will look at all areas of the school district, from the administration on down to the classroom.
"A major curriculum audit by Dr. Fenwick English and his staff will help us identify the areas of non-alignment in the teaching and learning process of our organization," Chief Academic Officer/Deputy Superintendent Ivonne Durant said.
"This is a major milestone towards the development of a new program in support of all students. We are excited to have an international expert support our efforts towards transparency as we move forward in our transformation of the El Paso Independent School District."
Parents are invited to meet with the auditors next week at four different schools:
Northeast Jan. 14, 2014 3:15-4:15 p.m. Whitaker Elementary Library
West Jan. 15, 2014 3:15-4:15 p.m. Guerrero Elementary Community Room
South Jan. 13, 2014 3:30-4:30 p.m. Aoy Elementary Library
Central Jan. 14, 2014 3:15-4:15 p.m. Rusk Elementary Room 22
