One man in the Lower Valley has lost his business after it went up in flames. Investigators say the suspects also stole a car right off his lot.
Hilario Castro, owner of Castro's Express, is trying to pick up the pieces of what's left after his business was lost to arson. The suspects tried to steal 2 cars but crashed one and fled in the other.
Castro says he doesn't live far from his business and saw the flames from his home.
"I looked out the window and saw the flames and when I got here I found the door open and saw they tried to steal a car," Castro said.
The fire totally destroyed his business office with all his records. It also swept through a stock room filled with new inventory of tires and rims, burning through the roof.
The building was a total loss and the owner did not have insurance.
According to our records here at Newschannel 9, this is the 6th arson investigation in our area in the last four weeks.
