EL PASO — The Boys and Girls Clubs of El Paso and the Salvation Army have plenty of activities to help keep kids out of trouble during the summer months while they are away from school.
The Boys and Girls Club and Salvation Army have planned several months ahead to find fun things for kids to do.
"Every week we have a different theme," said Jonathan Robles, the youth coordinator at the Salvation Army. "We have animal studies, the solar system, art, history and music."
About 30 to 40 kids call the Salvation Army home during the summer, participating in all sorts of things including field trips.
Over at the Boys and Girls Clubs, the goal is to help kids keep learning while they're away from the classroom.
"We want every kid to graduate from high school through the Boys and Girls Clubs," said Marketing and Development Manager Erik Baray.
The Clubs have set up a wide variety of summer camps at both El Paso locations.
