Another El Paso area school superintendent is resigning. Ed Gabaldon will retire at the end of the year. Gabaldon is superintendent of the Clint Independent School District. Before joining the Clint ISD he was chief of staff for former EPISD Superintendent Lorenzo Garcia, who is now serving a federal prison sentence for orchestrating a cheating scandal in that district. Four of nine school districts in the county are now seeking a new superintendent.

To me Gabaldon is quiting because he is hoping that by so doing the Feds will not go after him. Who knows on whom Garcia has snitched on in order to get the sweet deal that he got. Now that people who pleaded guilty are being sent to prison or who are now just being sentenced, I figure all the other offenders are running scared. Gabaldon was Garcia's Chief of Staff so to me that means he was a Chief Conspirator in all this mess to cheat students of their rightfull education. Lock him up pronto.
