Another El Paso principal resigns amidst cheating investigation
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Another EPISD principal has resigned after being implicated in the district's cheating scandal. According to district officials, Luis Loya, submitted his resignation Monday. Loya was principal of the Center for Career and Technology Education and a former principal of Irvin High School.
Loya was among eight employees who were facing termination because of allegations mentioned in a district audit conducted by the Weaver group, an auditing firm that investigated a cheating scandal in the district. His last day will be June 30th.
