'Angry Birds' attack people outside Texas store

What's happening in a Texas neighborhood gives new meaning to the phrase 'Angry Birds.' But this is no game. People are being attacked outside a business in metro Houston.

"We got some kamikaze birds." said a trucker named Benny Hines, who was just walking back to his rig. "You can see a bird swoop down. I took off my cap and started waving them away. And all of a sudden it was more than one bird."

First one bird, then in seconds, three others. "And that's when he come running around. And he was running. I mean, he was running." said business owner Lonny Sieger.

When it was all said and done, the bird hit Hines and knocked him down. He was bleeding and unconscious. He lost a tooth. People inside the store heard the commotion, rushed to help the man on the ground and called 9-1-1.

But no one knew what happened to him, until they checked the video.

"Everybody was like show me that again, show me that again."  said Sieger.

It's a bizarre mystery. No one really knows why the birds attacked Benny. But one possible theory -- a baby bird. It's been in the parking lot for the last few days.

It's creepy, like a scene straight out of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds." And the tale gets creepier because it happened again Wednesday.

"I felt a 'whew' and there was a bird coming after me." said Marcelino Benito.

This time just one bird, one dive, no injuries. But all this has people at the chrome shop watching the birds just as closely as they're watching them.

As for Benny, he's out of the hospital and back on the road. Hoping he doesn't run into any more birds.
