"Angel Tree" Needs Gifts

EL PASO - Hundreds of children in El Paso will go without Christmas gifts, unless caring people step-up to help.

The Salvation Army's "Angel Tree" is set up at Bassett Place. You can adopt a paper angel that lists a child's information and gift ideas. Once you buy a toy, you can drop it back off at the same location.

The children listed on the paper angels were selected by the Salvation Army for Christmas assistance.

"It's important that kids get gifts on Christmas, and this might be the only gift that they get," Gina Estrada said.

The last day you can turn in gifts for your angel is December 13th, 2011.
