UPDATE: 18-month-old boy named in Amber Alert found safe

UPDATE: Officials have cancelled the Amber Alert in this case. They say the child has been located. They did not provide any additional details about this investigation. They were found in the Houston area. 

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTSM) — An amber alert was issued from  the Harris County Sheriff's for 18-month-old,Luke Towner.

The alert, issued Wednesday morning, reported the baby is a white male, approximately 2 feet tall and weighs 26 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

According to the alert, the biological father assaulted the mother and took the child, making threats to kill both himself and the child.

They were last seen on Monday, May 20 at the Crown Plaza Hotel on Highway 59 in the Houston area.

The suspect allegedly stole a 1998 Tan, Ford F150, four-door truck with Texas License Plate 57RDX7.
