EL PASO - Discounted tickets are going fast for the Neon Desert Music Festival in April.
The festival will be on April 30 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. It will span across San Jacinto Plaza and Cleveland Square Park and will feature 27 bands on 4 stages. One of the organizers, Gina Martinez, says they're trying to promote more large-scale events in the borderland.
"That's what we're trying to do, to prove those nay-sayers wrong, and show people that El Paso is ready for an event like this," Martinez said.
So far organizers have announced several bands that will be playing, including Amigos Invisible, Kinky, Girl In A Coma, Designer Drugs.
"We're trying to bring back those bands that have made a name for themselves and hopefully do something positive for the city," Martinez added.
If you buy advance tickets before they're sold out, they'll cost you $25. Regular admission is $35. They hope to attract 8,000 people for the event. For more information go to their website, www.neondesertmusicfestival.com.
